RDS: managed MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, Oracle, SQL Server. You pick the instance type. Aurora: AWS-built MySQL/PostgreSQL compatible, 3x faster than MySQL, 5x faster than PostgreSQL. Auto-scales storage (10GB to 128TB). 6-way replication across 3 AZs. More expensive but more performant and resilient.
