Keep PRs under 400 lines of meaningful changes. Reviewers' attention drops sharply after that. Studies show defect detection drops from ~70% at 200 lines to ~20% at 800+ lines. Split large changes into multiple PRs. Each PR should do one thing. If you can't explain it in a sentence, it's too big.
